8 Nasty Conservative Lies About the Democrats Here are eight of the biggest myths that are out there: 1) President Obama tripled the deficit. Reality: Bush's last budget had a $1.416 trillion deficit. Obama's first budget reduced that to $1.29 trillion. 2) President Obama raised taxes, which hurt the economy. Reality: Obama cut taxes. 40% of the "stimulus" was wasted on tax cuts which only create debt, which is why it was so much less effective than it could have been. 3) President Obama bailed out the banks. Reality: While many people conflate the "stimulus" with the bank bailouts, the bank bailouts were requested by President Bush and his Treasury Secretary, former Goldman Sachs CEO Henry Paulson. (Paulson also wanted the bailouts to be "non-reviewable by any court or any agency.") The bailouts passed and began before the 2008 election of President Obama. 4) The stimulus didn't work. Reality: The stimulus worked, but was not enough. In fact, according to the Congressional Budget Office, the stimulus raised employment by between 1.4 million and 3.3 million jobs. the next 4:

Don't forget 5.) Obama has continued the Bush agenda of taking away american's rights. And extended the anti privacy laws to allow warrantless wiretapping of cell phones and gps tracking of cars. 6.) Obama is in bed with the RIAA and MPAA and refuses to address the problems with Copyright laws that started the piracy movement, selling us out to corporate interests. 7.) At the beginning of Obama's term he stated he had NO interest in helping out the manufacturing sector, and thought manufacturing was not important to our economy. Yeah, THAT really bit him on the ass. 8.) Obama's health care plan has done more harm than good to america's working class who must now pay ridiculous rates for health insurance. I will vote for the Democrats; but, Obama has to go. He is NOT a leader. He is in the way of fixing what is wrong with america. We need a leader with backbone. Not a Boy scout who has no clue about how politics works.
